Dostana (Hindi: दोस्ताना, translation: Friendship) is a Bollywood film released in 2008. It stars Abhishek Bachchan, John Abraham and Priyanka Chopra in the lead roles. The film was directed by Karan Johar's assistant, Tarun Mansukhani. Dharma Productions produced the film. [2]
The film explores the story of two men who pretend to be gay, so that they would be able to rent an apartment. Both the men fall in love with the same girl, their roommate, but are unable to express their feelings because she is under the impression that they are gay. [3]
Dostana is the first Bollywood film to be filmed entirely in Miami, United States. Filming began in Miami in March 2008, and the film was released on November 14, 2008.

KABHI ALVIDA NA KEHNA
Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna (Devanagari: कभी अलविदा न कहना, Nastaliq: کبھی الوداع نہ کہنا, English: Never Say Good Bye) is a 2006 Bollywood film directed by Karan Johar and produced under the Dharma Productions banner. Released on August 11, 2006 in India and North America, it stars Amitabh Bachchan, Shahrukh Khan, Rani Mukerji, Preity Zinta, Abhishek Bachchan and Kirron Kher in pivotal roles.
Set and mostly filmed in New York City, Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna is a romantic drama film which explores themes of adultery and extramarital affairs. A success in India which its earnings waning at the box office after the first week of release,[1] the film was a success internationally and in the United States it became the highest grossing Indian film of all time, beating Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham's five year old record. In the United States it grossed over $1.3 million and $1.4 million in the United Kingdom on its opening weekend and was screened in over 1,200 cinemas worldwide.[2]
The film was nominated for numerous awards and actor Abhishek Bachchan won the Filmfare Best Supporting Actor Award and GIFA Best Supporting Actor Award amongst others with Rani Mukerji winning the IIFA Best Actress Award for their performances in the film.
The film was shown at the Tokyo International Film Festival. The script of the film which received recognition by a number of critics, was invited to be included in the library of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences or more commonly known as the Oscars

Kal Ho Naa Ho (Hindi: कल हो ना हो, Urdu: کل ہو نہ ہو, literally Tomorrow May Not Come) is a 2003 Hindi film set in New York City. It stars Jaya Bachchan, Shahrukh Khan, Preity Zinta, and Saif Ali Khan. The film was directed by first-timer Nikhil Advani; it was produced and co-written by Karan Johar, better known as the director of the hit films Kuch Kuch Hota Hai (1998) and Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham (2001).
Unlike with many other Bollywood productions, the film's makers also complied with international copyright laws and obtained the license to use Roy Orbison's "Oh, Pretty Woman" for an extended musical sequence taking place in the streets in New York.[1] The film eventually grossed over Rs 600 million worldwide. It became the second top-grossing movie in India and the top-grossing Bollywood film in the overseas market that year.[2][3]

Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham (Hindi: कभी ख़ुशी कभी ग़म translation: Sometimes Happiness, Sometimes Sadness) is a Bollywood film released in India and countries with large NRI populations on December 14, 2001.
It features Amitabh Bachchan, Jaya Bachchan, Shahrukh Khan, Kajol, Hrithik Roshan, Kareena Kapoor and Rani Mukerji in a guest appearance. It is director Karan Johar's second movie (after Kuch Kuch Hota Hai).
Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham was the highest grossing Indian film overseas till 2006, when its record was broken by Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna. It climbed up to 3rd place in the British box office within two weeks of release, and maintained its place for over 3 weeks. The film was also thought to have broken the American Box Office Top 10, but this remains uncertain due to a lack of confirmed figures from the distributors. The film was the first Bollywood feature to see a theatrical release in Germany (with German subtitles, a dubbed version was produced, too). It was the highest grossing Indian film ever until Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Devdas (2002) released.

KUCH KUCH HOTA HAI
The film was written and directed by the debuting Karan Johar and stars the popular on-screen pair of Shahrukh Khan and Kajol in their fourth of five movies together. Rani Mukerji features in a supporting role, while Salman Khan has an extended cameo appearance. The film was extremely successful both in India and abroad, winning major awards in all categories including the Best Film award at The 44th Annual Filmfare Awards, Lux Zee Cine Awards, Sansui Viewers' Choice Awards, Aashirwad Awards, Bollywood Awards and the National Awards.
